Day by Day Program
Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO)/ Transfer to Arusha
Welcome to Tanzania, your gateway to an unforgettable safari adventure!
Upon arrival at the airport, you will be warmly greeted by our Safari Expert who will assist with the welcome procedures, before driving you to Arusha for a relaxing dinner and an overnight stay.
You will check in to your lodge in plenty of time to refresh with a shower before enjoying a delicious dinner. Afterward, unwind and retire to your room for a restful night in preparation for the exciting days ahead on your Tanzania Safari.
Day 2: Fly to Serengeti National Park
Your Tanzania Safari adventure begins with a hearty breakfast, followed by a transfer to Arusha Airport for a local flight to Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at Seronera Airstrip, you will be greeted by your Sky Wanders Safaris expert who will guide you through the Serengeti’s endless plains in search of its diverse wildlife.
The Serengeti is home to a variety of species, including wildebeest, zebras, lions, cheetahs, and elephants, and you may be lucky enough to spot many of these animals during your game drive. After enjoying a packed lunch at one of the park’s scenic picnic spots, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive before returning to your camp for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
Explore the breathtaking beauty of Serengeti’s endless plains with Sky Wanders Safaris. Start your day early with a hot air balloon ride, offering a unique aerial view of Serengeti’s wildlife—an unforgettable experience that concludes with a bush breakfast and champagne.
Afterward, enjoy a thrilling game drive through the central Serengeti, where you’ll have the chance to see cheetahs, lions, leopards, and more, as well as over 550 species of birds, making it a paradise for birdwatchers. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, you’ll return to your camp for a delicious dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Discover one of the world’s natural wonders with Sky Wanders Safaris today. After a delicious breakfast, you’ll embark on a scenic drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, home to the Big Five and a self-sustaining ecosystem where wildlife thrives without the need for long migrations.
During your crater tour, you’ll encounter a variety of species, including black rhinos, lions, elephants, zebras, and more. After exploring the crater, you’ll ascend and head to Lake Eyasi for dinner and an overnight stay, reflecting on a day full of incredible wildlife experiences.
Day 5: Lake Eyasi Cultural Activities / Nature Walk
After breakfast, you’ll embark on a cultural journey to visit the Hadzabe and Datoga villages, immersing yourself in their traditional way of life. Join the Hadzabe bushmen on a hunting excursion, learning about their unique methods of honey gathering, berry picking, and survival skills in the bush.
Next, visit the Datoga people, renowned for their skills in farming and craftsmanship, where you’ll experience their rich culture firsthand. After a fulfilling day, enjoy a local lunch in Karatu, followed by a nature walk to the Endoro Waterfall and Elephant Caves before returning to your lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you’ll head to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its abundant wildlife and the Tarangire River, which attracts numerous animal species, especially during the dry season.
The park is a prime destination for spotting elephant herds, as well as giraffes, zebras, cheetahs, lions, and leopards. After a picnic lunch at one of the park’s scenic spots, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive, offering more opportunities for wildlife sightings and exploration. In the evening, you’ll return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 7: Drive Back to Arusha / Depart
Today marks the conclusion of your Tanzania Safari with us, but you have the option to extend your adventure with a Zanzibar beach holiday experience. After breakfast, you’ll drive to Arusha, a scenic 2-hour journey, with opportunities to stop and explore anything of interest along the way.
Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, followed by some free time to relax or explore the city. Depending on your flight schedule, you’ll be escorted to the airport for your return flight, marking the end of an unforgettable Tanzania safari experience.
